About this game

Chinese Chess board game against a computer opponent. To win you need to capture the general of your opponent.

How to Play

Move your pieces according to their individual movement rules. The King can only step one square at a time within the nine-pointed star. Guards must stay within diagonal moves within the palace. Bishops move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot move to the opponent's side. Horses move one square straight and then one square diagonally, if not impeded by adjacent pieces. Rooks move any number of squares straight, acting as powerful attackers. Cannons move like chariots but must require a screen piece to capture exactly one piece. Soldiers move forward one square and gain new movement after crossing the river. Remove the opponent's general to win the game. Plan your moves carefully to checkmate the computer opponent.
